Tradeteq recognised as ‘Best Trade Finance Provider – Non-Bank’

16th January 2020: Tradeteq, the electronic trading platform for trade finance assets, has won the Best Trade Finance Provider – Non-Bank at Global Finance’s Trade Finance Awards 2020.

The awards are run by Global Finance Magazine, a key financial trade publication, and recognise the best trade finance providers on a national and global basis.

The USD15 trillion trade finance market remains one of the largest financial markets yet to be tapped into by capital market investors. It currently lacks common infrastructure to enable seamless trading, and there are significant variances in relation to transparency, credit, risk management and reporting.

This accolade recognises the transformative role Tradeteq is playing in the market to facilitate seamless capital market investment, and establish a liquid market that is estimated to be worth more than USD3 trillion by the end of the decade.

Tradeteq has developed an electronic platform to allow for bank and non-bank entities to transact specially packaged trade finance assets, as well as using cutting-edge artificial intelligence to rate the transactions on its platform and open up the trade finance market to SMEs.

Tradeteq is also the technology partner for the Trade Finance Distribution Initiative (TFD Initiative), an industry-wide initiative to increase non-bank participation in the trade finance market.
